During my vacations, or sometimes when going around my home town, I look for opportunities to create some more artistic images - something beyond the usual vacation photo. Sometimes I try to develop a theme - like in the different galleries in this section. But other times, it is simply one off photos.

Here is a collection of one off photos that I created over the years.

I love perspective, and this almost completely empty subway station offered me the chance to take some. I stood against the farthest wall of the station, and used my wide angle lens to make the distance seems greater and the perspective seem farther.

Another example of my perspective shots. I put the camera right on the floor, so that the yellow tiles were prominent in the photo. I used a wide angle again.

This was inside a building where renovations were being done.  The wall on the left is the permanent wall, while the one on the right was a temporary one, to block off the area of the building under construction.

I like the perspective, but also the sense of claustrophobia the scene evoked.

Pedestrian overpass
Montreal, May 2023
This was near a subway station. The location offered many things I love to play with in photography: perspective, and lines. Plus, being mostly cement, it naturally was perfect for black and white photography.

In this photo, a pedestrian was in the frame, but fortunately far enough away that he could not be identified. I felt his presence added to the photo.
